It is possible for complete remission after acute lymphoblastic leukemia resists treatment
Realendramab® is an injection therapy for adults with ALL, or acute lymphoblastic leukemia. If your cancer resists your first treatment or returns, it may be an option.
REALENDRAMAB was used in a study with 82 adult participants with ALL and who also had experienced other treatment failures. In this study, REALENDRAMAB helped 70% (or 58 of the 82 participants) reach complete remission. This number includes both patients who achieved complete remission (32 out of 82) and patients who achieved complete remission with incomplete hematologic recovery (26 out of 82).
Complete remission is defined as a disapperance of all signs or cancer. Blood counts are within normal range. Completed remission does not mean that the cancer has been cured.
Remission with Incomplete hematologic recovery is defined here as signs of cancer have disappeared, but some blood counts are not yet back within normal ranges.
